Shooting an Elephant

The narrator only had a gun to protect himself and used if needed. Seeing the elephant peacefully grazing on the grass, the narrator did not want to kill him. The only reason he did was because the whole village was watching him and felt forced to kill the elephant for that reason. I’m quite sure everyone has done something that went against our morals, but did it anyway because of peer pressure. Peer pressure is so controlling! Every human been there and it’s something everyone will go through, but that’s a way how we all learn. It’s common for people to experience peer pressure. It mostly happens in school when you are trying to figure out who you are and the difference between what is right and wrong morally to yourself. Peer pressure comes at you at different situations.
